NGML, a subsidiary of NNPC Limited in partnership with NIPCO Gas Limited has signed a 20-year Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement with Ssonic Petroleum. This agreement, signed on March 6, 2025, entails the supply of 80 MMSCFD of natural gas to Ssonic Petroleum’s proposed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant in the Lekki Free Zone Development Company, Lagos State.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in our commitment to fostering industrial growth, economic development, and promoting the utilization of cleaner, environmentally friendly fuel sources in Nigeria.
The NGML-NIPCO Joint Venture is already supplying natural gas to the Lekki Free Zone Power Plant, with expedited plans to extend gas supplies to additional customers. The provision of natural gas, being the most economical and environmentally friendly fuel, will significantly accelerate the development of the free zone.
